About the Role

The Senior Projects Manager - Connectivity is a senior leadership role responsible for managing key client accounts and ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale connectivity and data-centre infrastructure projects. This position acts as the single point of accountability for all commercial, technical, and operational aspects - from bid stage and design coordination through to execution, commissioning, and client handover. The role demands strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and an ability to balance profitability, quality, and safety while ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary client interface for key accounts, ensuring service quality, satisfaction, and long-term partnership.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of connectivity-biased data-centre projects - from tendering and bid support to commissioning and close-out.
  • Drive Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance, ensuring all site activities meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Establish and manage a project team structure that supports efficient delivery, optimal resource allocation, and performance accountability.
  • Oversee financial and commercial management, including forecasting, cost control, risk mitigation, and CVR reporting.
  • Ensure project delivery complies with ISO standards, internal governance processes, and customer specifications.
  • Engage with the commercial and supply chain teams to optimise procurement, contract management, and subcontractor performance.
  • Lead and mentor project managers and engineers, fostering professional development and team succession.
  • Monitor and report project progress using established business tools and templates provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Support the bidding and pre-construction process, ensuring competitive and compliant proposals.
  • Proactively identify project risks and opportunities, recommending actions to improve profitability and delivery outcomes.
  • Represent the business in client meetings, industry events, and technical forums, promoting the company's reputation and capabilities.
  • Ensure all project documentation, communication, and correspondence are managed in accordance with data protection and security policies.
  • Contribute to business strategy development, sharing insights and lessons learned to strengthen systems and delivery excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale data-centre or connectivity projects in international settings.
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, and connectivity systems, including structured cabling and fibre infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with data-centre commissioning processes (L1-L6) and integration between white and grey space systems.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, including P&L management, cost estimation, and contract negotiation.
  • Solid HSE knowledge with hands-on experience implementing site safety procedures (CSCPM certification preferred).
  • Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, APM, or CITPM.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of building trust at all organisational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under pressure while maintaining quality and schedule integrity.
  • Commitment to maintaining relevant professional accreditations and continuous improvement.
