Senior Project Manager

Purpose of job:

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead technology projects in our insurance business. You will manage a range of technology initiatives, across core insurance systems, regulatory compliance and digital transformation. You will also integrate projects, manage technology risk, and ensure timely delivery of solutions that meet business and customer needs. This role is key to enhancing our agility and competitiveness in insurance technology.

Main Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution: Lead and deliver technology projects in insurance, aligning with business goals:

. Delivery Oversight: Ensure projects adhere to timelines and quality standards

. Obstacle Removal: Address and resolve issues hindering team progress and project delivery.

. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

. Resource Management: Coordinate resources to optimise productivity and meet project milestones.

. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies.

. Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality software delivery, meeting industry standards and regulatory requirements.

. Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements through feedback, retrospectives, and metrics.

. Handover: Ensure any project is handed over and integrated within the usual processes so as to be business as usual post-go live be run as business as usual

. Reporting and Metrics: Track project metrics and KPIs, provide status updates, and use data for decision-making

Job Requirements:

. Proven experience as a Project Manager, ideally in insurance or financial services.

. Strong knowledge of delivery methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and transformation initiatives.

. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Understanding of technology delivery processes, including SDLC, DevOps, and release management

. Superb analytical skills and systematic approach to problem-solving

. Strong commercial acumen

. Proven experience in managing multiple C-level (or C minus 1) stakeholders

. Detailed oriented with good documentation skills

. Emotional intelligence, ability to communicate and relate to people and manage them effectively

. Demonstrates integrity and is both collaborative and open

. Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Business, or related field, with minimum 10 years working experience as Project Manager
