Description:
We are seeking an experienced and technically capable Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of IT software projects and system implementation initiatives. The role is responsible for managing project scope, schedule,resources, risks, stakeholders, and delivery outcomes to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in IT software project management, be comfortable working closely with technical teams, and possess good understanding of the software development life cycle, system implementation, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
Requirements:
- Degree/Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
- At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in IT/software project delivery,with proven experience managing software implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Good understanding of software and technical delivery environments, with the ability to work effectively with developers, testers, infrastructure teams, and vendors.
- Experience in managing project timelines, budgets, resources, vendors, stakeholders, and project reporting.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English, with strong presentation, stakeholder communication, and report-writing skills.
- Strong client-facing, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple work streams and priorities in a structured and disciplined manner.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery approaches.
- Experience in enterprise systems, application implementation, system integration, or public sector projects will be an advantage.
- PMP, Scrum, ITIL, or equivalent certification is an advantage

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage IT software projects from initiation to implementation and closure.
- Plan,monitor, and control project scope, timeline, resources, deliverables, risks,issues, and change requests.
- Serve as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
- Work closely with business users, technical teams, vendors, and management to ensure project requirements and objectives are met.
- Coordinate across solution, development, testing, infrastructure, and support teams to drive project execution and delivery.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed in accordance with contractual requirements,agreed scope, timelines, and service expectations.
- Track project progress, prepare regular status reports, and escalate key risks and issues where necessary.
- Support project governance activities including project meetings, reporting,documentation, and management updates.
- Manage project budgets and resource utilisation to ensure delivery efficiency and cost control.
- Oversee testing, deployment, cut over, go-live activities, and transition to support teams where applicable.
- Manage external vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, quality standards, and project documentation requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices, templates, and delivery processes.
- Support team development by providing guidance and sharing good project management practices.
- Support ISO and internal audit team's activities
