Senior Project Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering projects from commencement to completion and handover.

• Coordinate project engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning activities.

• Review project specifications, drawings, technical requirements and contractual obligations.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.

• Prepare project schedules, manpower plans, material requirements and resource plans.

• Monitor project progress, costs, productivity and resource utilization.

• Identify project risks, technical issues and potential delays, and implement appropriate corrective actions.

• Coordinate material procurement and ensure timely delivery of critical materials and equipment.

• Coordinate QA/QC inspections, testing, commissioning and project documentation.

• Ensure project activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements and safety procedures.

About you

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline.

• 5 - 8 years of relevant project engineering experience.

• Experience in piping, tank fabrication, structural fabrication, mechanical installation or industrial projects will be highly advantageous.

• Strong understanding of fabrication and site installation processes.

• Experience in coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.

• Good knowledge of project planning, scheduling, cost control and resource management.

• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

• Good communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects or priorities.

• Proficient in ACAD.
