Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer responsible for leading, planning, coordinating, and overseeing project execution to ensure timely and successful delivery. This role involves reviewing system designs, supervising installations, and managing communication with stakeholders. The position also provides technical leadership and guidance to project teams. Strong technical expertise, leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential for ensuring project quality, compliance, and successful project outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery and resolve complex issues.
- Attend site meetings as required, professionally representing the company and providing technical insights.
- Oversee and ensure timely submission of timesheets, expense reports, project trackers, and all required documentation.
- Review system designs before installation, identifying and addressing technical, functional, or compatibility issues while ensuring compliance with client standards.
- Supervise and manage installation teams, including internal technicians and local service partners, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager, supporting efficient resource planning and project execution.
Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Electronic Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant industry experience in security and communication systems installation, servicing, or design, with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Proven organizational and security system trouble shooting skills.
- Practical aptitude and ability to work independently, prioritize work schedule and make own decisions.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadline.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and a proactive can-do attitude.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of project cost control.
- IT literacy, preferably in MS Office. Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrable knowledge of IP technology and basic understanding of networking (e.g. Cisco, TCP/IP, routing, switching )
