Job Description
*Please note that the work location for this role is at Ang Mo Kio. However, once the project is completed, you may be deployed to another job site in Singapore.
*The work schedule is 5.5 days/week.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) to manage and deliver mechanical works for data centre projects. You will work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of mechanical works throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee ACMV, chilled water, ventilation, plumbing & sanitary, fire protection, fuel systems, and related M&E services.
- Review technical submissions, engineering drawings, specifications, shop drawings, BIM models, and method statements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project schedules, manpower, procurement, resources, and site progress to meet project milestones.
- Lead site coordination meetings, technical discussions, and interface management with other disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, statutory regulations, and WSH requirements.
- Manage project documentation, testing & commissioning activities, RFIs, reports, and client submissions.
- Review subcontractor performance, work quality, progress claims, and variation works.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to minimise delays and project impact.
- Support project handover activities, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, training, warranties, and final documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, M&E, building services, industrial, or data centre projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of ACMV, chilled water, ventilation, plumbing & sanitary, fire protection, and mechanical building services.
- Proven experience in project planning, site management, subcontractor coordination, testing & commissioning, and project handover.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, BIM models, and construction documentation.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
