Senior Project Engineer (M&E)

We are a specialist engineering company, focused on the healthcare sector. We would like to invite experienced project/site engineers to join our team and grow with us. The role involves working on large-scale new builds as well and A&A projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage assigned project packages from award through completion, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers on all project-related matters.
• Assist the Project Manager in planning, execution, monitoring and reporting of project progress.
• Review contract documents, specifications, drawings and project requirements to ensure compliance and constructability.
• Prepare progress reports, technical submissions, method statements and project documentation.
• Lead site coordination activities and resolve technical, commercial and operational issues arising during project execution.
• Monitor project schedule, manpower deployment, procurement status and material deliveries.
• Review and manage shop drawings, BIM models, coordination drawings and as-built documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Plan and coordinate testing, commissioning, inspections and handover activities.
• Identify project risks and propose mitigation measures to minimise delays, cost overruns and quality issues.
• Mentor and guide Project Engineers, BIM personnel and site supervisors.
• Support cost control initiatives including variation claims, subcontractor management and progress billing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Act as Project Manager's representative during meetings and site activities when required.
• Assist the Project Managers and project team with other tasks

Requirements:

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Engineering, M&E Engineering or related discipline.
• 5 years of relevant experience in construction project management, preferably in M&E, healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory or specialty gas projects.
• Experience managing projects from design coordination through testing and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of M&E systems, construction methodologies and site coordination.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction documents.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently.
