Senior Project Engineer

Responsibilities and Duties

. Assist Principal Project Manager (PRPM)/ Senior Project Manager (SPM)/ Project Manager (PM) in day-to-day management of the contract

. Advise the PRPM/SPM/PM on site quality and safety issues.

. Determine any non-conformances on works

. Liaise with Contractor to rectify any non-conformances and document them properly

. Ensure that decisions on site issues are conveyed to the Contractor within a reasonable time frame.

. Ensure that works are carried out according to specifications, drawings and programme without compromising on quality and safety

. Provide feedback to the PRPM/SPM/PM on quality and safety matters and suggest quality improvement measures for implementation on site

. Supervise installation of instrumentation and monitoring of instrumentation

. Lead a team of supervisors to ensure full time supervision of works on site by supervisor /client

Qualifications and Requirements

. Minimum Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering

. Minimum 5 years relevant experience in project/construction environment

. Proficient in relevant software programmes for planning and project work

. Pro-active team player with good analytical and communication skills

. Required to have at least 2 years of viaduct and/or flyover construction experience
