Job Purpose
As a key contributor to the Resource Development Department at the Singapore Red Cross, you will lead the strategy, growth, and day-to-day management of our Social Enterprise retail operations at Red Cross House, the Red Cross Training Campsite, and the SDG Centre.
This role involves overseeing logistics operations, supervising workflows, and supporting retail activities when required. You will ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and cross-team collaboration, driving the impact and sustainability of our Social Enterprise initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Donation Management (Primary Focus)
. Lead end-to-end coordination of donation collections, transportation, and distribution.
. Manage vehicle bookings, loading bay scheduling, and logistics documentation.
. Oversee stock transfers between shop locations, the Red Cross Training Campsite, the SDG Centre, and storage facilities.
. Ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and reconciliation of donated goods.
. Develop and refine logistics SOPs to improve operational efficiency.
. Coordinate logistics setup for pop-up sales, campaigns, and external events.
Inventory & Operational Oversight
. Supervise sorting, categorisation, and storage processes.
. Conduct periodic stock-takes and reconciliation exercises.
. Ensure compliance with financial and administrative policies.
. Provide operational recommendations to improve workflow efficiency.
Retail Oversight (Secondary Focus)
. Provide supervisory support to shop operations when required.
. Step in to manage retail activities during manpower gaps or peak periods.
. Support the planning and execution of sales campaigns and fundraising initiatives.
Volunteer & Cross-Team Leadership
. Coordinate volunteer deployment for logistics and retail support.
. Provide structured guidance to volunteers engaged in backend operations.
. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of activities.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
. Minimum GCE O Level or equivalent.
. Relevant experience in logistics, operations, retail, or non-profit settings preferred.
. Supervisory or coordination experience advantageous.
Skills & Attributes
. Strong planning and coordination capabilities.
. Detail-oriented with disciplined documentation practices.
. Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead workflows effectively.
. Basic IT proficiency, including working with computers, MS Office, and other common software applications.
. Valid Class 3 or 3A driving license (optional but advantageous).
Work Requirements
. Able to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible shifts.
. Willing to commit extended hours during events or peak donation periods.
. Comfortable with hands-on operational coordination.
