Location: Singapore

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Monthly Salary: SGD 10,000

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations and drive production efficiency, quality, cost control and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating production plans into effective shop-floor execution, managing production resources and developing a capable and stable production team. The role will also work closely with Engineering, Quality and other functions to support new product introduction and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day management of production operations and ensure production targets and delivery schedules are achieved.
Translate the master production plan into detailed production schedules and allocate manpower, equipment and materials effectively.
Drive initiatives to improve productivity, manufacturing efficiency and cost performance.
Identify opportunities to reduce labour hours, material wastage and manufacturing overheads.
Monitor production quality issues and collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams on root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality and process stability.
Develop the production team through structured training, coaching, skills development and performance management.
Support new product introduction, trial production, process validation and transition to mass production.
Work closely with Engineering teams to provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) recommendations.
Maintain 6S standards and promote a safe manufacturing environment through hazard identification and risk-control measures.
Ensure production activities comply with applicable company policies, procedures and quality standards.
Perform other production-related responsibilities as required by management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline. Candidates with a diploma and substantial relevant manufacturing experience may also be considered.
At least 5 years of production management experience within a manufacturing environment.
At least 3 years of experience managing a production workshop, manufacturing operation or production team.
Experience in production planning, manpower allocation, cost control and continuous improvement.
Familiarity with ERP systems and standard business productivity applications.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and 6S practices.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and production safety management would be advantageous.
Strong problem-solving, planning and organisational capabilities.
Able to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Quality and other cross-functional stakeholders.
Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
