Get to Know the Role

You'll lead day-to-day production to meet volume, cost, quality, and safety targets. You'll work closely with Planning, Quality, Engineering, and EHS to keep schedules on track and products shipment-ready. The role sets performance standards for operations and ensures timely, high-quality output. Success looks like stable schedules, clear metrics, and consistent customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the production plan to meet business objectives for volume, cost, quality, and safety.
  • Establish, communicate, and uphold operational performance standards; track adherence to quality, safety, and efficiency metrics.
  • Ensure timely production of high-quality products by monitoring quality, cost, and shipment schedules to sustain customer satisfaction.
  • Review workflows to identify improvements (efficiency, cost, safety) and coordinate material and equipment usage across production stages.
  • Maintain production schedules by tracking progress, resolving bottlenecks, and ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, cycle time, and operational reliability
  • Develop and mentor production teams, strengthening technical skills, problem-solving, and adoption of processes to reduce error.

Skills and Competencies Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
  • Proven leadership experience in production/operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, capacity management, and cost drivers.
  • Working knowledge of P&L fundamentals and how production decisions influence cost and financial performance.
  • Familiarity with CAPEX planning basics, equipment justification, and asset utilisation considerations.
  • Experience improving quality, safety, and operational efficiency using structured problem-solving methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to review workflows and implement process improvements.
  • Strong communicator with attention to detail, effective follow-through, and the ability to act quickly to address delays.
