We are looking for a Senior Production Control Manager to lead and integrate end‑to‑end production planning, materials management, and execution flow across our manufacturing operations.
This is a senior rolewith end‑to‑end accountability for production planning & control, material planning, purchasing expediting, and warehouse operations—playing a critical role in aligning demand, capacity, materials, and delivery commitments while driving systems enablement and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Production Planning
- Own and govern master production planning and detailed scheduling across machining, assembly, and downstream operations
- Translate demand forecasts and customer orders into executable, realistic production plans
- Lead exception management for disruptions such as material shortages or capacity constraints
Supply Chain, Materials & Warehouse Leadership
- Provide overall leadership for:
- Material Planning
- Purchasing & Expediting
- Warehouse & Inventory Operations
- Ensure material availability while optimising inventory levels and working capital
- Improve inbound reliability, expediting effectiveness, and warehouse flow efficiency
Inventory & WIP Optimisation
- Own WIP, inventory accuracy, and stock health across the factory
- Define and track inventory KPIs (turns, ageing, obsolescence, accuracy)
- Lead cycle count discipline, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
Systems, Digitalisation & Process Integration
- Act as business owner for planning and supply chain systems (ERP/MRP, planning tools, WMS)
- Lead or support system implementations and enhancements with IT
- Drive data transparency through dashboards, KPIs, and visual management
- Standardise SOPs and strengthen governance across planning and supply chain processes
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as the central coordination point across Production, Design & Development, Purchasing, Warehouse, Sales, Quality, Engineering, and IT
- Proactively identify delivery risks and drive clear mitigation plans
- Influence senior stakeholders and manage cross-functional trade-offs
People Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Lead, coach, and develop a multi-layer team of 20 professionals
- Build succession plans and capability development pathways
- Drive Lean, Kaizen, and operational excellence initiatives focused on lead time reduction, planning stability, and inventory optimisation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
- 8–12 years experience in production planning, supply chain, or operations management within manufacturing
- Proven experience leading large, cross-functional teams
- Strong background in ERP/MRP and supply chain digitalisation
- Solid understanding of Lean principles and structured continuous improvement
- Experience in capital equipment, precision engineering, or complex manufacturing environments is an advantage
