Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager – Freight Forwarding / 3PL to drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution of digital products that enable modern freight forwarding and third-party logistics operations.
The ideal candidate will bring strong logistics domain expertise, particularly across freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing, shipment management, carrier management, customs, order fulfilment, and supply-chain operations, combined with a proven track record of building and scaling B2B digital products.
You will work closely with customers, business stakeholders, operations teams, engineering, design, data, and technology teams to identify high-value problems and translate them into scalable products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and drive the product vision and strategy for freight forwarding / 3PL products.
- Develop product roadmaps aligned with business objectives, customer needs, and market trends.
- Identify opportunities to digitize and optimize logistics and supply-chain processes.
- Conduct market, customer, competitor, and industry analysis to identify product opportunities.
- Define product KPIs and establish mechanisms to measure product adoption, customer value, operational efficiency, and business impact.
Freight Forwarding & Logistics Products
Own and evolve products across one or more of the following areas:
- Shipment / freight management
- Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Order and fulfilment management
- Carrier / vendor management
- Rate management and freight pricing
- Booking and shipment planning
- Track & Trace / shipment visibility
- Customs and trade compliance
- Documentation and invoicing
- Last-mile and delivery management
- Returns management
- Customer portals and self-service
- Logistics control towers
- Supply-chain visibility and analytics
- Integration with carriers, ports, airlines, shipping lines, marketplaces, ERP and other enterprise systems
Product Discovery & Customer Focus
- Engage directly with customers and logistics operations teams to understand pain points and unmet needs.
- Translate complex logistics workflows into intuitive digital experiences.
- Conduct user research, discovery workshops, interviews, and validation exercises.
- Define customer journeys, personas, use cases, and product requirements.
- Prioritize opportunities based on customer value, business impact, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
Product Execution
- Own the product backlog and prioritization across multiple squads / product areas.
- Develop PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Partner closely with Engineering, UX/UI, Architecture, Data, QA, and Operations teams.
- Drive product development from discovery through launch and post-launch optimization.
- Resolve product trade-offs and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Establish effective Agile product practices and continuously improve product development processes.
Data, Automation & AI
- Leverage data and analytics to improve logistics decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for automation across freight forwarding and 3PL workflows.
- Explore and incorporate AI/ML, GenAI, predictive analytics, intelligent document processing, optimization, and automation into logistics products where relevant.
- Define experiments and measure outcomes to validate product hypotheses.
Stakeholder & Business Management
- Collaborate with senior business and operations leaders to align product strategy with organizational priorities.
- Work with sales and pre-sales teams to support enterprise customer engagements where required.
- Communicate product vision, roadmap, priorities, progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership.
- Influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Product Management, with significant experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, freight forwarding, or 3PL products.
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding and/or 3PL business processes and operating models.
- Experience building and scaling B2B / enterprise SaaS or logistics technology products.
- Proven experience owning products through the complete lifecycle: discovery → strategy → roadmap → development → launch → adoption → optimization.
- Strong understanding of transportation, logistics, and supply-chain workflows.
- Experience working with enterprise customers and complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum product development environments.
- Ability to translate complex business problems into simple, scalable product solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TMS, WMS, OMS, freight management, shipment visibility, logistics marketplaces, or supply-chain platforms.
- Experience across air freight, ocean freight, road transportation, or multimodal logistics.
- Understanding of customs, trade compliance, freight rating, documentation, invoicing, and carrier operations.
- Experience with ERP and enterprise integrations such as SAP or Oracle.
- Experience with APIs, EDI, carrier integrations, and logistics ecosystem integrations.
- Experience building products for global logistics operations.
- Exposure to AI/ML, GenAI, automation, optimization, or data products in logistics.
- Experience managing products across multiple geographies or business units.
- MBA / PGDM from a reputed institution is a plus.
- Engineering / Computer Science / Technology background is a plus.

They should be comfortable discussing topics such as freight rates, carrier booking, shipment lifecycle, documentation, customs, warehouse operations, transportation planning, track & trace, delivery, invoicing, and logistics integrations, while also being strong in modern product management practices.
Candidates coming from freight forwarders, 3PLs, logistics technology companies, supply-chain SaaS companies, TMS/WMS providers, or enterprise technology organizations serving the logistics industry would be particularly relevant.
