Senior Manager, Product Manager (Defence Platform Electronics)
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy and development of defence platform electronics solutions. This role will drive product innovation, define long-term roadmaps, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-reliability systems for defence and aerospace applications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and manage product roadmaps for defence electronics (e.g. mission systems, communications, sensors, C2 systems)
- Align product direction with platform requirements, customer needs, and long-term support strategies
- Drive innovation by incorporating emerging technologies such as AI, modular systems, and open architectures
2. Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification
- Identify target customers and develop strong market positioning
- Conduct market research, including industry trends and competitor analysis
- Evaluate market size, growth opportunities, and business potential
- Develop business cases and financial projections
3. Go-to-Market Strategy
- Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new and existing products
- Work closely with sales and business development teams to drive adoption
- Build strategic partnerships to expand market reach
- Monitor emerging technologies relevant to defence electronics
4. Channel & Partnership Development
- Identify and manage channel partners such as system integrators and distributors
- Strengthen partnerships to enhance product reach and market penetration
- Align channel strategy with overall business objectives
5. Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver products from concept to deployment
- Evaluate technology readiness and support R&D planning
- Establish partnerships with industry stakeholders and technology providers
6. Feasibility & Risk Assessment
- Assess technical feasibility, scalability, and resource requirements
- Identify risks related to market, competition, and regulatory factors
- Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or a related field
- At least 7 years of experience in defence, aerospace, or high-reliability electronics systems
- Experience in product management and/or presales is preferred
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel when required
