We are looking for a highly technical Senior Product & Engineering Manager to lead product direction, engineering execution, and delivery across our SaaS products. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, not a traditional project management position.

The ideal candidate began their career as a software engineer, has demonstrated excellence in building software, and has progressed into leading engineering teams. You must be technically strong enough to understand the product and architecture in depth, personally test products when necessary, configure Jira and development workflows yourself, and work directly with engineers to solve technical and delivery challenges.

Working Hours

Fully remote, work-from-home contract position. Our engineering teams are distributed across North America, Europe, and Asia. Working hours are flexible, with a few core overlap hours for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own product priorities, roadmap decisions, and feature planning
• Decide what should be built, why it matters, and what should be prioritized
• Lead and manage engineering teams, including team structure and engineer assignments
• Translate product priorities into development plans, sprints, and releases
• Drive execution and ensure releases are delivered on time and at high quality
• Understand software architecture, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and development workflows
• Personally investigate, reproduce, and test product issues when necessary; do not rely solely on QA reports
• Configure and manage Jira workflows, boards, projects, dashboards, and reporting directly
• Identify technical, product, resource, and delivery risks and drive them to resolution
• Work directly with engineers, QA, DevOps, and other technical teams
• Improve engineering processes, development practices, release quality, and team productivity
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field
• Must have started career as a software engineer/developer
• Proven record of excellent software development and technical problem-solving
• Progression from hands-on software engineering into engineering/team leadership
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture, development, testing, and deployment
• Able to understand and evaluate a product at a deep technical level
• Able to personally test, troubleshoot, reproduce, and validate software—not simply rely on QA
• Able to configure and manage Jira independently without relying on IT or other administrators
• Strong product judgment and ability to prioritize features based on business and technical value
• Proven ability to lead, organize, and develop software engineering teams
• Excellent communication and execution skills in a distributed, international environment
  
  

Compensation

₹75,00,000 - ₹95,00,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
