Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams to facilitate procurement operations and address supply-related challenges.
- Manage daily procurement tasks and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure materials, products, and services are delivered in line with business timelines and standards.
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and relevant industry regulations.
- Maintain supplier master data, agreements, and performance metrics including order quantities, lead times, and key contact details.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to assess procurement risks, identify opportunities for cost efficiencies, and support new initiatives.
- Research alternative sourcing options, evaluate supplier capabilities, and promote competitive sourcing to support business goals.
- Monitor supplier performance on quality, reliability, and delivery address performance issues in a timely manner.
- Track market developments and pricing trends to support budget forecasting and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams and suppliers to align sourcing strategies with business priorities.
- Participate in regular planning meetings to report on procurement impacts due to supply disruptions, market volatility, or material changes.
- Support procurement's role in business expansion projects, new initiatives, and cross-regional sourcing efforts.
- Generate procurement reports and dashboards to monitor KPIs and identify trends or cost variances.
- Develop, review, and update strategic sourcing plans based on changing market dynamics, supplier capabilities, and evolving business needs.
- Partner with stakeholders to resolve recurring supplier issues and coordinate supplier evaluations or audits where applicable.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation in accordance with quality standards or regulatory guidelines (e.g. ISO).
- Engage in cross-functional or global procurement initiatives to ensure alignment and best practice sharing.
Requirement
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management within the chemical or process manufacturing industry.
- Experience in handling raw materials, specialty chemicals, intermediates, packaging materials, or related categories.
- Proficient in digital tools for procurement operations and analytics.
- Familiarity with procurement systems, ERP platforms, and contract lifecycle management.
- Experience in negotiating commercial terms and supplier agreements.
- Knowledge of international sourcing practices and compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze cost drivers, supplier performance, and market trends.
- Exposure to facility services or indirect procurement categories is an advantage.
