Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager or Senior Procurement Executive to lead the planning and execution of procurement functions. This role involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage end-to-end procurement activities, including vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and compliance oversight. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of procurement governance-particularly in the construction or related industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute procurement activities in alignment with the organization's procurement strategy, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to define and validate scopes of work or product specifications.
- Source, evaluate, and recommend new suppliers or service providers, ensuring competitive and cost-effective procurement.
- Participate in the quotation/proposal evaluation process and lead negotiations with vendors and suppliers.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for the review and approval of service agreements and contracts.
- Identify inefficiencies in the procurement process and recommend improvements to enhance compliance, transparency, and operational effectiveness.
- Prepare procurement reports, documentation, and supporting materials for internal approval processes.
- Support procurement audits and ensure all activities are well-documented and audit-ready.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of procurement experience, preferably with exposure to the construction or infrastructure sectors.
- Experience in construction or engineering field is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of supplier and contract management practices.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels, including senior management.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated integrity, ethical standards, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Prior experience with procurement audits and compliance processes is highly desirable.
