Senior Process Engineer

Brief Summary

Join a dynamic team as a Senior Process Engineer, focusing on resolving technical queries and optimizing production processes for new product introductions. This role is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product qualification to meet specified standards. Develop and improve processes and documentation for assembly builds to achieve sustainable production yields. Design and qualify tooling and fixtures to support product builds. Introduce new technologies to facilitate the manufacturing of new assemblies. Provide technical support to the Sales & Marketing team in addressing customer inquiries. Review technical data packs for new products and assess in-house manufacturing feasibility. Make technical recommendations and conduct evaluations based on customer inquiries. Offer value-added services such as product design improvement and troubleshooting support on-site. Plan and assist in key activities related to build plan completion and product qualification. Collaborate with the Planning Team to create realistic build schedules for new product assembly. Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with the build plan. Translate customer product quality specifications into internal manufacturing requirements. Perform root cause analysis on product failures/returns, recommending practical solutions. Create the Assembly Process Sheet (APS) for production teams to facilitate assembly builds. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical assembly processes. Review and enhance existing process methodologies to improve key performance indicators.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics, or related field A minimum of 3 years of experience in new product introduction (NPI) or process engineering. Experience in the semiconductor equipment or optics industry is advantageous. Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Skilled in drawing software like AutoCAD or SolidWorks. Familiar with engineering tools such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis, PFMEA, CPK Analysis, and Gauge R&R analysis. Knowledge of cleanroom protocols is essential. Proactive and innovative in finding solutions. Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
