Senior Process and Project Engineer

Job Profile:

The Senior Process and Project Engineer provides in-depth process related support to the engineering department to ensure that cost effective, sustainable and proven technology solutions for the design and construction of tank terminal storage are achieved. He/she provides project management support in expansion and upgrading works for the Singapore Terminal.

Your Tasks:

• Design and analyse the terminal's process related infrastructure to improve, upgrade or implement processes

• Prepare calculations, specifications and diagrams for new construction and/or terminal expansion projects, ensuring adherence to quality, regulatory and legal standards.

• Develop conceptual studies for process related infrastructure, prepare engineering documents such as PFDs and Scope of Works descriptions as well as vendor specifications for tenders, evaluate tender submission and provide cost estimation.

• Review and verify contractor's proposed design according to customers requirements, international industrial standards and requirement including compliance with statutory codes and corporate guidelines

• Engage in detailed engineering design for optimization of system with contractors

• Provide engineering support for new and upgrading projects.

• Ensure proper integration of designs during execution, testing and commissioning phases.

• Participate in risk assessment and hazard analysis and other engineering studies.

• Participate in both internal and external meetings to facilitate the project/proposal of concern.

• Work closely with various internal stakeholders (subject matter experts, process safety, operations, etc) and external stakeholders (customers, contractors, consultants, vendors and suppliers, authorities).

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering from a reputable university, ideally in Oil & Gas background

• At least 8- 10 years of relevant experience in chemical/ process and project engineering

• Good understanding of terminal business and its drivers covering the technical, operational and HSSE point of view

• Proficiency with Microsoft office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project) and process simulation software (Aspen HYSYS or Honeywell UniSIM)

• Other computer skills (SAP, AutoCAD) are a plus

• Prior project management experience is a plus

• Highly motivated and independent individual who can work under pressure, integrate, and participate well in a team environment, problem solving abilities, attention to details, analytical, able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines, positive attitude

• Class 3 manual driving license. Class 4 manual driving license is a plus

• This position is based in Jurong Island

• Official Working hours: Mon - Fri, 0830 - 1700 hours
