The Role:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and ensuring the structural integrity of precast structures . Your role will involve collaborating with architects, construction teams, and other professionals to deliver safe and efficient structural solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Structural Analysis:
- Conduct structural analysis using software tools to determine the load-bearing capacity and stability of precast structures.
- Perform calculations to assess the impact of environmental factors, such as wind, earthquakes, and temperature, on structural performance.
2. Design and Planning:
- Create detailed structural designs and plans that meet building codes, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Lead/coordinate with drafters to provide precast shop drawings according to project schedule & requirements.
- Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural systems into overall building designs.
3. Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the quality of construction work, including site inspections to ensure compliance with approved structural plans and specifications.
- Address any structural issues or deviations during construction.
4. Project Management:
- Communicate regularly with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.
5. Code Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date with local and national building codes and regulations.
- Ensure that all structural designs and plans meet the necessary legal, environmental directives and health & safety requirements.
6. Risk Assessment:
- Identify potential risks and hazards related to structural integrity and propose mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in structural design of reinforced concrete structures, knowledge of precast design/construction will be an advantage.
- Knowledge in AutoCAD & BIM software eg. Tekla Structure will be added advantage.
- Conversant with building codes and industry standards eg. Eurocode.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication, presentation skills and teamwork abilities.
- Independent, organized & positive work attitude.
- Title/Salary will commensurate with the year of experience
