Senior Preschool Teacher

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate, caring, and experienced Senior Preschool Teacher to join our preschool team in Singapore.

The Senior Teacher will support curriculum planning, classroom management, mentoring of junior teachers, and ensure high-quality teaching and learning experiences for children.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and learning activities aligned with ECDA guidelines.

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children.

• Observe and assess children's development and maintain proper documentation.

• Guide and mentor junior teachers and teaching assistants.

• Support classroom management and daily school operations.

• Build strong relationships with parents through regular communication and updates.

• Ensure compliance with ECDA regulations, health, safety, and centre policies.

• Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development programs.

• Work collaboratively with the management team to enhance curriculum quality and teaching standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) or equivalent recognized by ECDA.

• Certified by ECDA as L2 Teacher or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum 3-5 years of preschool teaching experience in Singapore.

• Prior experience in mentoring or leadership role preferred.

• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

• Passionate, patient, responsible, and team-oriented.

• Good understanding of Singapore preschool curriculum and ECDA requirements.
