You will serve as a senior member of the Fixed Income & Cash Management team in Group Investment Management Division, with the opportunity to progress to the Head of Fixed Income & Cash Management contingent on exceptional performance.
You will be responsible for the management and oversight of the company&aposs fixed income and cash portfolios. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of fixed income markets, credit analysis, and portfolio construction within a regulatory and liability-driven framework. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of generating alpha, managing risk, and collaborating effectively with a team.
The Job
Portfolio Management
- Manage fixed income portfolios and execute investment strategies across various regions and sectors.
- Construct and rebalance portfolios to meet specific return targets, risk constraints, and asset-liability matching requirements.
- Implement investment decisions based on thorough market research, credit analysis, and economic forecasts.
- Monitor portfolio performance against established benchmarks and internal objectives.
- Maximize returns from cash portfolios.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify, assess and mitigate risks, such as interest rate fluctuations, credit risk, currency risk and liquidity constraints.
- Implement hedging strategies using derivatives where appropriate.
- Ensure all investment activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements and the company&aposs investment guidelines.
Strategy & Collaboration
- Contribute to the development of the overall fixed income investment strategy, including asset allocation and sector positioning, as well as identifying macro trends and investment themes.
- Collaborate with the asset-liability management (ALM) team to ensure the portfolio&aposs cash flows and duration profiles align with insurance liabilities.
- Partner with internal teams (e.g., external fund selection, legal, compliance, operations) to ensure seamless execution of investment activities.
- Prepare and present portfolio performance and market updates to senior management and investment committees.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and contribute to talent development within the Fixed Income team.
- Tertiary education from a reputable university.
- Minimum 10-15 years relevant experience.
- Proven track record in managing fixed income portfolios, with deep knowledge of credit analysis, duration and FX management, as well as fixed income derivatives.
