Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to support multiple fitout and A&A projects across a fastpaced and dynamic project environment. The Senior Planner will be responsible for endtoend project scheduling, ensuring alignment between tender requirements, contract periods, project delivery timelines, and onsite progress. This role requires strong technical planning skills, deep understanding of industry procedures and authority requirements, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent project and tender programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, review, and refinement of tender programs to ensure alignment with tender specifications and project requirements.
- Assist project teams through the tender phase, interpreting requirements and preparing accurate and competitive tender schedules.
- Upon award, work closely with project managers to finetune the project program according to confirmed contract periods and execution strategy.
- Maintain and update project schedules on a weekly basis, tracking progress, monitoring delays, identifying critical paths, and ensuring program accuracy.
- Coordinate with project managers on delay events, supporting the assessment of critical impacts and preparing documentation to substantiate relevant claims.
- Ensure timely submission of tender programs, even under compressed timeframes
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure coordinated planning and clarity on project timelines and sequencing.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing planning insights and identifying areas to refine processes or enhance scheduling accuracy.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant planning experience, preferably within fitout, A&A, or the built environment sector.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6
- Solid knowledge of construction management principles and handson experience supporting project execution teams.
- Understanding of key authority procedures and timelines and ability to incorporate these into project schedules.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent programs across live projects and ongoing tenders.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, especially when working closely with project managers and tender teams.
- Ability to identify critical path activities, assess schedule risks, and interpret delay events with clarity.
- Comfortable working in timesensitive tender cycles with possible weekend disruptions when deadlines require it.
- Strong organizational skills, disciplined approach to deadlines, and high attention to detail.
- Experience in fitout or A&A environments preferred
