Role Overview
An established engineering consultancy within the Life Sciences sector is seeking an experienced Senior Piping Designer to support ongoing pharmaceutical and process facility projects. This position is offered on a 6-month fixed-term basisand will be based in Singapore, with potential site deployment depending on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop detailed layouts for process, chemical and utility piping systems.
- Review piping isometrics, general arrangements and technical documentation.
- Coordinate design interfaces across multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Participate in 3D model reviews and support resolution of design clashes.
- Address piping design issues arising from construction and site conditions.
- Liaise with vendors and contractors regarding piping materials, specifications and standards.
- Ensure designs comply with project requirements and local regulatory guidelines.
- Provide technical support during installation, testing and commissioning phases.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams across regional project delivery centres.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
- Prior experience supporting pharmaceutical or Life Sciences projects within an engineering consultancy environment.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation and 3D piping platforms such as Plant 3D or SmartPlant 3D.
- Hands-on experience using design review tools (e.g. Navisworks / Smart Review).
- Familiarity with international engineering codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, API and BS.
- Ability to travel or be deployed to project sites when required.
