About the Role
The role sits within OMD's performance team. The team has a market-leading position in implementational / executional management of a key advertiser. As a Senior Manager at our agency, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing digital marketing strategies for our clients. You will lead a team of talented professionals and work closely with clients to achieve their marketing objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of digital media channels, excellent leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for staying ahead of industry trends.
Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for key stakeholders in the account(s) you manage.
- Understand clients business goals and translate them into effective digital media strategies.
- Provide strategic recommendations and insights to clients to optimize their digital marketing efforts.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of digital marketing professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting the growth and development of team members.
- Set clear objectives, provide constructive feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
Digital Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies that align with clients objectives.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of digital campaigns across various channels, including Paid Search, Programmatic, Social and other direct vendor buys.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of digital campaigns and provide actionable insights for optimization.
- Assist the team in preparing and presenting regular reports to clients, highlighting key performance indicators and recommendations for improvement.
Budget Management:
- Manage digital marketing budgets effectively, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
- Monitor campaign spend and adjust strategies as needed to stay within budget constraints.
- Work with our finance team to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of media spends.
Stay Informed on Industry Trends:
- Keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in digital marketing.
- Apply industry knowledge to enhance clients digital strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Process/Strategy:
- Be our biddable media platform planning & activation expert (e.g. Google Ads, DV360, Facebook/IG, TikTok).
- Develop a deep understanding of agency processes and client's way of working, with a mind of improving the current workflow & optimization processes.
- Work as both a leader and hands-on expert to assist junior team members with delivering results for clients.
- Champion new agency tools, settings & technologies and help activate any existing ones that are not in place.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of work experience in a performance media and client servicing role.
- Strong technical understanding of Google Ads (Search, PMAX, etc), Programmatic and Social. Preferably all 3 but minimally 2 out of the 3 channels (Social, SEM, Programmatic).
- Solid understanding of media planning processes, with exposure in omnichannel (Programmatic, Offline, etc.) planning considered a plus.
- Experience of using Google Campaign Manager is required.
- Experience in bid management and process automation through Skai/SA360/Marin is a plus.
- Experience with Google Analytics and other analytics platforms is a plus.
- Strong communicator possesses excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail is a must; accuracy in work is the top KPI.
- Have strong organizational skills being able to manage multiple clients / projects at once.
- Digital savvy, with specific proficiency at MS Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
