About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Payments Product Manager (Optimization) to own and optimize our end-to-end payment experience across global markets.
This role focuses on improving payment success rates, reducing transaction failures, and increasing conversion, while maintaining a healthy balance between approval rates and fraud risk.
You will work at the intersection of payments, product, and engineering, with direct impact on revenue and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and optimize the end-to-end payment journey, from plan selection to successful transaction completion
- Analyze and improve the payment funnel, identify drop-offs, and drive conversion improvements
- Diagnose and reduce payment failures (e.g. issuer decline, 3DS friction, latency, routing issues)
- Design and improve payment routing, retry logic, and fallback mechanisms
- Monitor real-time payment performance (success rate, latency, failure reasons) and continuously improve outcomes
- Work closely with engineering teams to enhance payment system performance and reliability
- Collaborate with PSPs, acquirers, and payment partners to optimize transaction success
- Develop strong understanding of risk signals and transaction behavior to support better payment decisions
- Balance approval rate vs fraud risk to achieve optimal business outcomes
- Drive experiments and data-driven initiatives to improve payment conversion and user experience
Requirements
- 4-8 years of experience in payments, fintech, e-commerce, or digital platforms
- Strong understanding of payment flows, authorization lifecycle, and transaction processing
- Proven experience improving payment success rate, conversion, or funnel performance
- Experience working with payment gateways, PSPs, acquirers, or local payment methods
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Experience working closely with engineering teams (backend / systems)
- Hands-on, execution-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
