Senior Patch Management Executive (Banking, 1-year renewable contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide patch and vulnerability management programmes across Windows, Linux, Unix, database, and cloud environments.
• Oversee infrastructure change governance, including change reviews, risk assessments, testing, implementation, and rollback planning.
• Coordinate patch deployments across complex and interconnected systems while ensuring service availability, security, and compliance.
• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives using orchestration and Infrastructure-as-Code tools to improve deployment efficiency and reduce operational risks.
• Partner with Cyber Security teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities and manage associated security risks.
• Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and recovery activities related to patch deployments and infrastructure changes.
• Establish and improve patch management, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure change governance processes.
• Monitor patch compliance, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure changes against internal security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Manage and coordinate with internal technology teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure timely and effective implementation of infrastructure updates.
• Act as a key stakeholder for audit, compliance, vendor management, risk management, and executive reporting.
• Prepare and present management reports on patch compliance, vulnerability status, operational risks, change activities, and remediation progress.
• Drive continuous improvement across infrastructure operations, security, automation, and change management processes.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with significant expertise in enterprise patch management, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure change governance.
• Strong experience in large-scale enterprise or regulated environments, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Hands-on knowledge of Windows Server, Linux/Unix, cloud platforms, and enterprise patch management technologies.
• Experience with enterprise patching and configuration management tools such as SCCM/MECM, BigFix, Chef, Ansible, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure change management, including risk assessment, testing, implementation, rollback planning, and service continuity.
• Proven experience managing operational risks, stakeholders, vendors, and complex infrastructure change processes.
• Experience driving automation, orchestration, Infrastructure-as-Code, and process transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management and security risk remediation in enterprise environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Risk, Audit, Compliance, vendors, and senior management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage complex operational issues and risks.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, Microsoft, or Red Hat are advantageous.
