The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing manufacturing operations to achieve production targets and delivery commitments while maintaining the highest standards of quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing manufacturing organization that embraces continuous improvement and is accountable for delivering operational and customer expectations.
  • Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business strategies, operational objectives, and core processes.
  • Oversee site operations and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and quality management systems.
  • Drive the execution of production plans to ensure timely order fulfillment, effective capacity planning, productivity enhancement, quality improvement, and talent development and retention.
  • Manage manufacturing budgets and capital expenditure planning, including recommendations for operational investments and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with planning teams on production scheduling, build plans, inventory management, and material flow to support business requirements.
  • Monitor, review, and resolve production and operational issues related to output, quality, yield, delivery performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Establish and implement initiatives to improve manufacturing processes, operational performance, and overall organizational capability.
  • Foster a strong culture of employee engagement, accountability, safety, and continuous learning across the manufacturing team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related discipline. An advanced degree or professional certifications will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing operations experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role managing production teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in leading manufacturing operations within a highly regulated environment such as medical devices, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, precision engineering, or other advanced manufacturing industries.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing best practices, continuous improvement methodologies, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience in production planning, capacity management, supply chain coordination, and operational budgeting.
  • Sound understanding of quality management systems and regulatory compliance requirements, including ISO standards and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving productivity improvements, operational excellence initiatives, and organizational transformation.
  • Strong people leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
