Senior Operations Manager (3PL Logistics, EAST)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to oversee warehouse operations within a large-scale 3PL logistics environment. You will be responsible for leading multiple operational teams, driving service excellence, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring operational performance meets business and customer expectations.

This role requires a strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading change, improving processes, and developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall warehouse operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of daily activities.
• Drive operational excellence by achieving service levels, KPIs, productivity, quality, and financial targets.
• Build strong partnerships with customers through regular engagement, operational reviews, and contract support.
• Take full ownership of the P&L performance for assigned business accounts.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, warehouse efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to optimise warehouse layout, workflows, and resource utilisation.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies and operational best practices.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Manage department budgets, manpower planning, and resource allocation effectively.
• Evaluate and justify capital expenditure (CAPEX) initiatives for operational improvements.
• Foster a positive, high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and employee engagement.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support business growth and operational excellence.

People Management

• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse leadership teams.
• Drive employee engagement, succession planning, and talent development.
• Conduct performance management, disciplinary actions, and staff development where required.
• Approve leave applications, transport claims, medical claims, petty cash, and operational requisitions.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience within warehouse or 3PL logistics operations.
• Proven experience managing large-scale warehouse operations and customer accounts.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management, inventory control, and operational excellence.
• Experience managing operational budgets and P&L responsibilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and customer relationship skills.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people development capabilities.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other dashboard/reporting tools will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Warehouse Excellence initiatives is highly preferred.
