Our client, a leader in the financial services sector focusing on digital assets and derivatives, is seeking a Senior Operations Associate (Japanese Speaking) to join their Operation team.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support trade lifecycle activities for DPT (Digital Payment Token) and Capital Markets products in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Perform daily trade and position reconciliations across all products.
- Establish and enhance operational workflows, cross-functional processes, dashboards, and reconciliation tools to ensure smooth operations and timely settlements.
- Apply domain expertise and project management skills to support product launches, system integrations, and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Technology teams on front-to-back system implementations, enhancements, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Support onboarding processes, KYC/AML procedures, and client servicing inquiries across cross-functional teams.
Requirements & Preferences
(Must)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Middle Office or Capital Markets Operations within financial services or digital asset institutions.
- Practical experience across the trade lifecycle, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, and handling capital markets products such as equities, fixed income, funds, FX, or derivatives.
- Business conversational Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) to liaise effectively with Japanese-speaking stakeholders.
- Strong audit, risk-control, and compliance mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills with high professional integrity.
(Advantageous)
- Possess experience in capital markets operations, securities operations, collateral operations, or digital payment token (DPT) operations.
- Demonstrate familiarity with MAS regulations, broker-dealer operations, or regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Show experience handling operational documentation, onboarding/KYC processes, or cross-functional operational projects.
