Senior Officer, United Overseas Bank Ltd

Job Summary

As a Senior Officer at United Overseas Bank Ltd, you will play a crucial role in supporting various operational functions and contributing to the efficient delivery of banking services. You will be responsible for executing day-to-day tasks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and providing excellent service to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process and verify banking transactions accurately and efficiently, including but not limited to account opening, transfers, payments, and settlements.
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide prompt and professional assistance, escalating complex issues to senior management when necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to banking operations.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with various departments to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance professional skills and knowledge of banking products and services.
  • Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in banking operations or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, services, and operational processes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards within the banking industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in executing tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
