Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key liaison with Head Office and maintain close communication with relevant Head Office departments. Prepare and submit various risk reports, regulatory returns and other required materials in accordance with instructions received through the Head Office system and emails.
  • Review and interpret risk-related policies, rules and guidelines issued by Head Office and regulatory authorities, and develop, update and enhance the department's internal policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Be responsible for country risk management, including country risk identification, classification, assessment, rating, monitoring and early-warning activities.
  • Perform credit risk management duties, including post-lending management, portfolio management, stress testing and thematic risk reviews.
  • Conduct compliance reviews of individual credit applications and prepare credit compliance review reports and customer rating assessment reports.
  • Be responsible for model risk management and demonstrate a sound understanding of the model risk management framework and relevant requirements.
  • Be responsible for new product risk management and demonstrate a sound understanding of the processes and requirements for new product risk identification and assessment.
  • Be responsible for the management and calculation of risk-weighted assets (RWA).
  • Perform other duties and assignments as directed by the Deputy Head of the Department.

Requirements

  • A recognized degree
  • Minimum 7 years of enterprise-wide risk / credit / country / model /concentration / new product risk experience in the Banking Industry
  • Sound knowledge of the enterprise-wide risk management framework and relevant requirements relating to credit risk management, credit assessment and approval, country risk management, concentration risk management, model risk management and new product risk management.
  • Good knowledge of the policies and regulatory requirements of China's National Financial Regulatory Administration (NFRA), as well as applicable laws, regulations and regulatory requirements relating to cross-border business activities.
  • Strong Chinese writing skills, with the ability to independently prepare professional risk reports, official correspondence and other formal documents for submission to Head Office or regulatory authorities. Ability to prepare risk analysis and assessment reports in English.
  • Strong ability to professionally interpret and analyse policies, rules, guidelines and other requirements issued by Head Office, and translate such requirements into appropriate internal policies, procedures and risk management practices.
  • Meticulous, versatile, good interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Skilled at handling data, be proficient in using VBA and other data processing tools.
