INSEAD is seeking a
Senior Officer, Student Life to join the
Student Life Team within the Degree Programmes Department. This is a
full-time position based at our Asia Campus in Singapore, with a
hybrid working model (four days on campus, one day from home).
About The Job
Reporting to the Associate Director Student Life, you will play a key role in enhancing the student experience on the Asia Campus, with a strong focus on student immigration support, wellbeing & health, and campus life engagement. Acting as a trusted partner to students and internal stakeholders, you will ensure smooth operational delivery while continuously improving processes and services.
Your role within the team
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local immigration authorities to enhance efficiency, anticipate changes, and resolve complex or sensitive student immigration cases
- Strengthen internal alignment and operational efficiency for immigration processes, including contributing to process improvement and automation initiatives, in close collaboration with colleagues handling immigration operations
- Provide personalised support and guidance to students facing challenges with visas or student passes, ensuring a supportive and solution-oriented experience
- Act as the focal point for Wellbeing & Health on the Singapore Campus, working closely with the Senior Officer in Wellbeing & Health to adapt and enhance the global offer with local relevance
- Oversee and support Student Sports Clubs, partnering with Student Life Club Officers to foster leadership development while ensuring compliance with institutional policies
- Build and nurture partnerships with other schools, local associations, and community organisations to strengthen students integration into INSEAD's broader community
- Negotiate and support agreements to secure local sports facilities for Degree Programme participants and students
The ideal candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (background in OperationsManagement, Education Management, or a related field is an advantage)
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience, ideally in customer relations, immigration services, student services, or a higher education environment
- Strong client focus, with a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, student-centred support and proactively addressing student needs
- Highly detail-oriented and well-organised, able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency
- Culturally sensitive and diplomatic, with the confidence to handle complex, sensitive, or high-pressure situations with empathy and professionalism
- Proactive, resilient, and driven, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, international environment
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral; experience in relationship management and extra-curricular programming is a plus
- Technologically savvy, comfortable working with digital tools, and able to perform rigorously under pressure
- Proactively anticipate and respond to student needs, delivering thoughtful, timely, and solution-oriented support that enhances their overall experience.
