Senior Officer, Finance and Accounting (Proficient in Business Japanese)

The incumbent will need to manage and direct financial activities, such as accounting, internal control, audit, tax and financial planning for the Company. Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports of Global RtM.

Responsibilities

1. Accounting

• Key personnel in charge for accounting matters on Global basis.
• (Global basis: As RtMI is headquarter of RtM Group, RtMI is responsible to consolidate financial results and budgets on Global basis
• Preparation of financial Budget or Forecast for Global basis.
• Monthly monitoring of actual result with Budget for Global Basis.
• Perform Profit and Loss analysis for management reports.
• Support General Manager, head of Finance and Accounting in development and implementation of accounting treatments for certain transactions including derivative treatments.
• Collaborate with Parent Company and other regional offices to align accounting treatments.
• Calculate 'Intercompany Service Fee (ISF)' with Parent Company and other regional offices.

2. Risk Management

• Perform risk assessment for new transactions from the point of Accounting, Tax, Operational risk, and Internal Control.
• Communicate with Front offices well and anticipate potential risks from the transactions.

3. Tax

• Review and build the pricing policy of all cross border related party transactions.
• Ensure compliance of all intercompany agreement requirements, calculations, payments for transfer pricing purpose, and complete the transfer pricing documentation of RtMI for each year
• Coordinate transactions of RtMI to be complied with Japanese CFC Taxation.
• Update relevant changes in tax regulation of Singapore and Japan and the consequential impacts to management continuously

4. Auditing and Internal Control

• Liaise with internal and external auditors to provide information and field their queries.
• Prepare mock accounts for audited financial statements.
• Ensure RtMI is kept up to date in terms of accounting standards by liasing with auditors
• Review internal control documents annually and propose for changes if necessary.
• Ensures compliance to internal control

5. Finance

• Collaborate with other departments for LC Settlement and FX transactions.

Requirements

• Possess a degree from a recognized university or tertiary institute
• At least 5 to 8 years of experiences as an accountant and/or financial executive, preferably with 2 to 3 years of experiences working as an accountant and/or financial executive in Japan due to complexity of Japan tax rules
• Business proficiency in both written and spoken Japanese in order to coordinate with headquarters and counterparties from Japan. Candidate is also required tocreate reports in Japanese for updates to the management in headquarters
• Experienced in Accounting and Tax related Assignments
• Knowledge of IFRS
• Knowledge of Corporate tax rules and transfer pricing rules,includingJapanese tax rules)
• Knowledge of consolidated accounting
• Knowledge of Derivative Accounting for Metal commodities trading
• Relationship management with external auditors and tax consultant
• Meticulous
• Self-driven in order to cooperate well with internal/external stakeholders.
