Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at a Senior Day Rehabilitation Centre. The successful candidate will lead the planning and delivery of occupational therapy services to elderly clients, supporting their independence and enhancing their ability to perform daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed assessments of clients functional abilities and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to improve daily living skills and promote independence.
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior therapists and therapy assistants.
- Recommend and train clients in the use of assistive devices and adaptive techniques.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Educate clients and caregivers on strategies to manage daily tasks safely and effectively.
- Participate in program development, quality improvement, and community outreach initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Singapore.
- At least 5 years of clinical experience, preferably in geriatric or community-based settings.
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and leadership skills.
- Passion for working with older adults and promoting active, independent living.
