Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Maximize network performance by monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving complex problems and outages. Optimize traffic and capacity planning for future growth.
- Develop, implement, and test network security measures, including configuring firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Act as the technical escalation point for network issues, providing expert-level support to resolve critical problems with minimal downtime.
- Guide, train, and mentor junior network engineers.
- Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and reports for management.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to plan for network improvements and resource allocation.
- Work with external vendors and service providers to resolve issues and deliver project scopes.
- Conduct regular network audits and ensure adherence to security compliance and governance policies.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Familiarity with network operating systems
- Certifications like Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) preferred
- Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex network issues.
- Ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior engineers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize projects effectively to meet deadlines
