Senior Network Architect

Our client is a global leader in Artificial Intelligence tools and services for Data Centres throughout Asia Pacific. Its infrastructure and cloud services are designed to transform the way AI is hosted, empowering organisations to scale their AI workloads efficiently while drastically reducing carbon emissions and operational costs. They are looking to hire a Senior Network Architect to join their fast growing team.

The ideal candidate will take technical ownership of the design, deployment, and optimization of scalable, secure, and high-performance network infrastructure for AI environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of AI networking technology and contribute to the growth of AI infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead network designs from concept through deployment for AI infrastructure projects.
• Create optimized network designs for large-scale AI clusters considering bandwidth, latency, and scalability.
• Influence networking hardware and software component selection, including switches, adapters, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the Data Centre infrastructure team to ensure scalable, performant deployments.
• Assess current infrastructure, identify gaps, and recommend improvement strategies.
• Analyze network traffic patterns and implement strategies to improve data transfer speeds.
• Evaluate new technologies, architectures, and design patterns to enhance network performance and efficiency.
• Stay informed of industry trends, technologies, and vendor offerings to ensure future-proof designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development.

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced network design and capacity planning expertise.
• Proven experience designing and architecting large-scale network infrastructures across LAN, WAN, and wireless environments.
• Experience with VXLAN EVPN fabric across data centres.
• Strong understanding of routing/switching technologies and protocols (Ethernet, IP, BGP, OSPF, FabricPath, SD-WAN).
• Ability to create both high-level architectural diagrams and detailed low-level designs.
• Experience evaluating technology options from leading vendors such as Mellanox, Cisco, Juniper, Fortigate, Palo Alto, Arista, and others.
• Hands-on experience architecting RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) or InfiniBand networks is highly regarded.
• Fast and independent self-learner with outstanding technical skills.
• Customer-focused, driven, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong written, verbal, and listening skills.

Key Competencies

• 5+ years of experience architecting large-scale networks.
• Proficiency with network simulation and modelling tools.
• Solid understanding of advanced networking technologies, particularly those related to AI.
