Role Overview
This position will drive the research and development of high-performance, directional MEMS microphones, contributing to cutting-edge acoustic solutions for consumer and intelligent hardware products.
You will play a key role across the full development cycle - from concept design and modelling to validation and product integration - working closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of high-performance, directional MEMS microphone designs
- Analyse industry trends and propose innovative, competitive acoustic architectures
- Perform modelling and simulations to predict acoustic performance and optimise structural design
- Collaborate with MEMS, ASIC, packaging, algorithm, and software teams to integrate solutions into products
- Build experimental platforms and conduct testing/characterisation to validate performance
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, or a related discipline
- Strong foundation in acoustic and fluid mechanics principles
- In-depth understanding of MEMS microphone design, including advantages and trade-offs of different microphone architectures
- Hands-on experience with MEMS modelling and simulation tools
- Familiarity with MEMS fabrication processes and cleanroom protocols
- Strong problem-solving ability and cross-functional communication skills
