Role Summary And Impact

You will play a pivotal role as a Senior Executive, Media Planning & Buying, working with dynamic teams focused on delivering best-in-class, impactful campaigns across both the education sector and the broader public service sector that drive impact to our nation. Skills And Experience

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Develop and maintain robust, collaborative relationships with key education and national change sector clients, agency partners, and media partners.
  • Work closely with the Manager/Director on strategy development, innovative idea generation, and media solutions for impactful educational campaigns, national awareness initiatives, and behavioural change programs, with a strong focus on lead generation, public engagement, and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop and present comprehensive media plans/documents, incorporating client goals, strategic recommendations (especially for lead gen and national reach), clear rationale, innovative ideas, detailed implementation plans, cost projections, and budget allocations.
  • Manage and deliver the day-to-day needs of assigned accounts, ensuring seamless execution and proactive communication, particularly for lead generation campaigns and public-facing initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver necessary reports, such as media flowchart updates, budget tracking, contact reports, competitive analysis, and detailed post-campaign reports, all in a timely and insightful manner, with a focus on lead generation and national impact metrics.
  • Manage the negotiation, evaluation, and recommendation of media campaign proposals, ensuring optimal value and alignment with education and national change client objectives, lead generation targets, and public service goals.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure all financial processes are adhered to, and relevant data is accurately updated.

Measures Of Success

In three months:

  • Onboarded onto key educational and national initiatives client accounts with full induction/training into all facets of their specific objectives and target audiences, including their lead generation and awareness goals.
  • Become familiar with the regulatory guidelines and unique nuances of media planning within both the education sector and national change campaigns, including lead generation marketing.
  • Adopted best practices around client structure, channel-wise understanding (digital, traditional, social, programmatic relevant to educational outreach, national awareness, and lead gen), and exposure to leading ad tech and platform partners.
  • Familiar with all campaign processes, including optimization strategies tailored for both educational and national impact campaigns (especially for lead generation), reporting methodologies, ways of working, requirements, and billing.
  • Demonstrate mastery of all platforms and systems that power media planning and buying for our education and national change clients.
  • Work and collaborate closely with various internal specialist teams to ensure campaigns are managed end-to-end, from brief development to launch and post-buy analysis, with a strong focus on achieving lead generation and awareness targets

In Six Months

  • Confidently running assigned education and national change client accounts independently, meeting all KPIs (including lead volume, quality, cost-per-lead for education; and reach, engagement, behavioral shifts for national change), and assuming key client relationship management for these partners.
  • Become a trusted advisor to clients through strong justification of media recommendations, robust timeline management, and consistently delivering measurable outcomes that contribute to educational enrollment, program growth, and national objectives.
  • Drive the testing of new channels, formats, betas, platforms, and other innovations specifically relevant to reaching and influencing target audiences within both the education and national change spaces, particularly for lead generation and public engagement.
  • Taken on more client-facing responsibilities, actively participating in weekly WIP meetings, and proactively educating clients on new features, services, and media landscape changes relevant to their marketing and communication goals.
  • Assist the team in in-depth research and strategic definition to prepare compelling presentation material for key educational and national impact initiatives.

In 12 Months

  • Built strong, enduring client relationships, consistently measured by positive feedback from Agency Scores, reflecting exceptional partnership and value delivery for both educational and national change clients.
  • Independently able to analyze and provide insightful recommendations and next steps per channel, demonstrating a deep understanding of campaign performance and its impact on educational enrolment, lead generation, and broader national objectives.

What You Will Need

  • Experience: Minimally 3-4 years of progressive media planning and buying experience, with a significant portion preferably in an agency environment and/or directly supporting education sector clients and/or national change/public service campaigns.
  • Client-Facing Acumen: Proven experience in a client-facing role, with a track record of building trust and delighting partners by exceeding expectations, particularly for mission-driven organizations.
  • Continuous Learner: A genuine eagerness and willingness to learn and adapt; keeps up-to-date with industry changes, latest practices, new technologies, and emerging trends relevant to the education sector, national change campaigns, and lead generation strategies.
  • Relationship Builder: Ability to build meaningful relationships with internal team members, external stakeholders, and media partners/publishers.
  • Organizational Prowess: Excellent administrative and organization skills are mandatory, with a strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Work Ethic & Problem-Solving: A strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and proficient time management skills.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Analytical Mindset: Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and manipulating dashboards; an analytical mind that is both creative and data-driven to identify trends, patterns, and insights from campaign performance, especially for lead generation optimization and impact measurement. Proficient in Excel formulas & pivot tables is a plus.
  • Communication Excellence: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex media strategies clearly and persuasively.
  • Curiosity & Proactiveness: Demonstrates genuine curiosity and proactiveness in understanding the business landscape, client needs within education and national change, and industry innovations.
  • Platform Knowledge: Strong knowledge of digital tools and social/search media platforms, with an understanding of their application in educational outreach, national campaigns, and lead generation.
  • Passion for Impact: A deep passion for making a positive impact to the client's business goals, especially within the education sector and for national change initiatives, and a desire to see media strategies drive real, measurable results
