Senior MECM / SCCM Administrator

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior MECM / SCCM Administrator to lead the administration, support, optimization, and governance of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) in a large-scale enterprise environment.

The role will focus on endpoint management, software deployment, operating system deployment, patching, compliance, platform health, automation, and L3 troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with MECM/SCCM along with PowerShell and modern endpoint management technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise MECM/SCCM infrastructure.
• Manage software distribution, application deployment, collections, compliance, and endpoint configurations.
• Design and support Windows OS deployment using task sequences, boot images, driver packages, and OS images.
• Plan and execute monthly security patching, software updates, and vulnerability remediation.
• Package, test, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise applications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Management Points, Distribution Points, Software Update Points, boundaries, boundary groups, and client health.
• Provide L3 troubleshooting for deployment, patching, client health, content distribution, policy processing, and task-sequence issues.
• Develop PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, diagnostics, health checks, and remediation.
• Support integration with Microsoft Intune and co-management initiatives.
• Work with security teams on endpoint security baselines and vulnerability remediation.
• Support endpoint lifecycle activities including provisioning, refresh, software distribution, configuration changes, and decommissioning.
• Work with ServiceNow for incidents, problems, changes, and service requests.
• Prepare endpoint inventory, compliance, operational health, and audit reports.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, platform standards, and recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, workplace, application, and service-management teams.
• Provide technical guidance to junior administrators and distributed support teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise endpoint management / infrastructure administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft MECM/SCCM / Configuration Manager.
• Strong knowledge of MECM/SCCM architecture, client management, software deployment, OS deployment, patching, collections, reporting, and compliance.
• Strong troubleshooting experience across Management Points, Distribution Points, Software Update Points, boundaries, boundary groups, client health, and task sequences.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and co-management.
• Good knowledge of WSUS, Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI, DNS, and Windows Server.
• Experience with application packaging and deployment using MSI, PSADT, or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge of endpoint security, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.
• Exposure to Microsoft Defender and vulnerability-management tools such as Qualys.
• Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or another highly regulated enterprise environment is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft certification related to Endpoint Administration, Intune, Windows, or Microsoft 365.
• ITIL certification.
• Experience with modern endpoint management and hybrid environments.
• Experience supporting large or globally distributed endpoint environments.
