Senior Massage Therapist

1. Role Purpose

The Senior Massage Therapist is responsible for delivering advanced therapeutic treatments, mentoring junior therapists, and upholding premium service standards. This role acts as the clinical anchor of the outlet, especially for complex cases such as chronic neck & shoulder conditions, sports-related muscle tension, and recurring pain management.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Advanced Treatment Delivery

• Perform high-level therapeutic treatments including:
• Advanced foot reflexology
• Sports massage (special focus on neck & shoulder rehabilitation)
• Deep tissue and trigger point therapy
• Corrective muscle release techniques
• Handle complex or chronic pain cases.
• Customise treatment protocols based on client condition.
• Ensure consistent pressure control, precision, and therapeutic effectiveness.

B. Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning

• Conduct detailed consultation and muscular assessment.
• Identify postural imbalances and tension patterns.
• Develop short-term and long-term recovery plans for clients.
• Provide professional advice on stretching, posture correction, and maintenance frequency.

C. Mentorship & Training

Guide and coach junior therapists on:

• Technique improvement
• Body mechanics
• Pressure control
• Client communication
• Conduct mini skill-sharing sessions.
• Support onboarding and competency evaluation of new therapists.
• Assist Supervisor in maintaining service quality standards.

D. Service Quality & Brand Standard

• Uphold premium treatment standards of Foot Artisan.
• Ensure treatment consistency across the team.
• Support quality audits and treatment spot checks.
• Maintain high personal customer satisfaction rating.

E. Sales & Client Retention

Recommend suitable therapy packages and recovery plans.
Convert trial customers into regular clients.
Maintain strong repeat booking rate.
Support outlet revenue targets.
Act as key therapist for VIP and referral clients.

F. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed client treatment notes.
Monitor progress of long-term recovery clients.
Flag unusual cases or contraindications to management.

4. Professional Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years experience in massage therapy.
