Key Responsibilities
1. Regional Marketing Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the regional marketing agenda across APAC markets, setting clear priorities aligned with commercial objectives and distributor needs.
- Execute global brand, product, and sponsorship strategies through APAC specific plans, campaigns, and activation frameworks.
- Deliver the approved APAC marketing plan, ensuring continuity against sales targets, market maturity, and agreed investment priorities.
- Track performance and effectiveness of marketing initiatives, optimising execution based on results and distributor feedback.
2. Branded Workshop & Mechanic Programme
- Own the day-to-day management and execution of Gulf's Branded Workshop and Mechanic programmes across APAC, ensuring alignment with global frameworks and regional commercial priorities.
- Support distributors in recruiting, onboarding, and managing branded workshops, ensuring clear understanding of programme standards, benefits, and obligations.
- Ensure consistent implementation of workshop standards covering branding, signage, POSM, merchandising, promotions, and customer experience.
- Act as the regional point of contact for sales on all branded workshop matters, providing guidance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting rollout milestones.
- Coordinate workshop related marketing activations including mechanic promotions, loyalty programmes, incentive schemes, and local campaigns.
- Track and report on programme KPIs including network growth, compliance, volume contribution, and distributor adoption.
- Support ongoing optimisation of the programme by identifying execution gaps and recommending practical improvements (without redesigning core frameworks).
3. Sponsorships, Incentive Programmes & Event Activation
- Manage regional sponsorships, partnerships, and incentive programmes to support brand visibility, distributor engagement, and workshop acquisition.
- Execute and localise global sponsorship assets (e.g. F1 and MotoGP) through APAC distributor and customer activations.
- Lead planning and delivery of key regional events, conferences, and customer engagements already in the calendar.
- Manage incentive trips and major events against approved business cases, budgets, and ROI expectations.
4. Digital, Website & Social Media
- Oversee APAC digital marketing activity including social media, campaigns, landing pages, lead capture, and performance tracking.
- Maintain and monitor all social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok), ensuring brand consistency and compliance.
- Review, approve, and guide local market content balancing local relevance with global brand standards.
- Coordinate content calendars, cross-posting, and campaign execution across markets.
- Ensure APAC website content remains accurate, current, and aligned with product information.
5. Sales Enablement & Distributor Support
- Develop and deliver regional sales enablement tools, including brochures, catalogues, and the Distributor Value Proposition deck.
- Lead product CVP and brand training for distributors, sales teams, and key customers (including workshops and mechanics), ensuring consistent understanding of Gulf's portfolio, positioning, and brand standards.
- Support key distributor onboarding sessions, customer visits, and commercial presentations as required.
6. Product & Portfolio Management (Automotive Focus)
- Oversee the execution of the APAC product portfolio to achieve agreed gross margin and volume targets, ensuring distributors and sales teams have the right products at the right time.
- Coordinate regional input into new product introductions, portfolio updates, and product transitions to ensure market readiness.
- Support product launches by aligning sales, supply chain, regulatory, and marketing teams, ensuring smooth execution across all markets.
- Focus primarily on the automotive segment (cars and motorcycles) while providing support for adjacent categories as needed.
7. Budget & Agency Management
- Manage the APAC marketing budget, ensuring spend remains within approved limits and aligned to priority activities.
- Oversee agencies, suppliers, and event partners to ensure delivery is on time, on budget, and on brand.
- Monitor marketing expense submissions from markets, agencies, and distributors to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with approved budgets.
Key Skills and Personal Attributes
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field MBA or Master's in a relevant field is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in APAC regional marketing leadership, with proven ability to lead and execute end-to-end marketing strategies across multiple markets with varying levels of maturity.
- Strong capability in translating global brand, product, and sponsorship strategies into locally relevant and commercially effective programmes.
- Extensive experience in distributor and channel marketing, working within indirect sales models and supporting distributor-led execution.
- Hands-on management of branded network and loyalty programmes, including workshop, mechanic, or retail networks, with responsibility for recruitment, compliance, activation, and performance tracking.
- Solid background in automotive and motorcycle portfolio management, including product launches, portfolio optimisation, and lifecycle management.
- Proven experience in sponsorships, incentive programmes, and event activation, delivering regional and market-level campaigns with clear ROI focus.
- Strong understanding of digital and social media marketing, including management of campaigns and content across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, with performance monitoring and governance.
- Demonstrated ability in sales enablement and commercial training, developing tools and delivering product and brand training to distributors, sales teams, and key customers.
- Proven experience in budget management, agency oversight, and stakeholder management, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-brand delivery.
- Strong track record of cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration, working effectively with global, regional, and local teams across APAC.
