(Senior) Marine Broker

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marine Broker to join our client, focusing on local business marine business. This is a senior-level role suited to professionals with a strong background in marine insurance, including hull, cargo, and associated marine liability products. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in servicing existing accounts, developing new business opportunities, and nurturing relationships with clients and insurers alike.

You will be responsible for providing expert advice and tailored insurance solutions to marine clients and expected to demonstrate a deep understanding of marine risks, insurance wordings, and regulatory requirements within Singapore. Your proven ability to negotiate favourable terms and develop creative risk solutions will be key to driving success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a portfolio of marine insurance clients in Singapore
• Provide expert consultation on marine insurance coverage including hull & machinery, cargo, and marine liability
• Negotiate terms and pricing with underwriters to secure best-in-class solutions for clients
• Prepare and present client proposals, renewal strategies, and placement reports
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including account executives and claims teams
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to overall growth strategy

Requirements:

• 3–8 years of experience in marine insurance broking or underwriting, preferably within the Singapore market
• Strong technical knowledge of marine insurance products and risk solutions
• Proven client management capabilities and strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure
• Familiarity with Singapore regulatory frameworks and insurance market dynamics
• Professional certifications in insurance (e.g. ACII, ANZIIF) will be advantageous
