If you have what it takes to build Singapore's digital future with us, we are looking for a Manager/Senior Manager, SAN under Infocomm Resource and Networks (IRN) division to join the team!
What the role is:
Infocomm Resource and Networks Division (IRN) is responsible for driving the technical domains of spectrum management, radio coordination and surveillance, satellite and 5G networks operationalisation. The SAN team plays a key role in shaping the policy, regulatory and technology developments of the national digital infrastructure that includes satellite networks and telco cloud network.
You will be part of a dynamic team, which aims to:
- Drive strategic initiatives in satellite networks, spectrum planning/engineering and telco cloud network. This role reports to the Deputy Director (IRN) and supporting the Director (IRN) in representing Singapore at international and regional telecommunications forums.
What you will be working on:
- Lead and enhance IMDA's satellite regulatory framework, coordinating Singapore's satellite networks with international regulators and ITU
- Drive collaboration with government stakeholders on new space economy initiatives, particularly for non-geostationary satellite systems
- Spectrum planning/engineering to address interoperability and interference challenges for co-existence
- Lead Singapore's participation in ITU satellite operational activities
What we are looking for:
- Background in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, specializing in telecommunications
- Minimum 8 years of experience, preferably in satellite communications
- Strong understanding of satellite systems, ITU Radio Regulations, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong knowledge of spectrum planning and engineering is advantageous
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects with excellent stakeholder management capabilities
- Experience in international collaboration and driving resolutions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Knowledge of telco cloud, Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and direct-to-device (D2D) communication is advantageous
