THE ROLE:

As a New Product Introduction Product Manager, you will lead the Product team under the Product Engineering Organization (PEO) to develop exciting next generation AMD products. You will work closely with world class Product Engineering, Test, Design, Quality, Reliability, Customer, Software and Platform global teams to plan and drive the final product solution into production while meeting the product Cost, Yield and Quality targets. With close collaboration with end customers, you will lead your team to achieve the business requirements.

THE PERSON:

We are looking for someone with strong people management, technical, analytical, leadership and problem-solving skills, as well as demonstrating the characteristics of an independent and resourceful individual. The candidate must have experience in leading NPI teams and understanding the ecosystem of product development. Good communication is also key to successful collaboration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the Product team in meeting the time to market, quality, yield and cost goals.
• Interface with cross functional teams across the world to align and drive the product KPIs to meet the business goals
• Provide leadership to the global operations teams, drive alignment among teams to achieve product requirements.
• Set goal, plan and coordinate margin improvement activities.
• Lead effort to optimize product positioning to meet business requirements
• Accountable for product leadership and reports out regularly to executives on status, decisions, and solutions to issues.
• Strong people management skills to lead, motivate, and guide world class engineers

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Analytical Thinker: able to assess problems, plan for experiments/next steps and drive team to execute.
• Experience in Product Management methodology, fab process and/or x86/GPU/High Speed IO operation is preferred.
• Lead technical teams to root-cause, and provide mitigation actions for any observations.
• Experience leading cross-functional and cross-regional teams to deliver program goals.
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail, able to prioritize, and balance multiple work streams to tight deadlines.
• Strong and effective presentation, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work with geographically distributed product engineering teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Experience in leading medium to big teams.
• 15yrs or more experience in the semiconductor industry and worked on NPI

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• BS/MS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or comparable disciplines
