Role Summary:
- Lead strategic analytics initiatives within Global Supply Planning to enable data-driven decision-making and operational excellence. This role translates strategic objectives into actionable plans, ensuring alignment across sourcing, planning, and manufacturing functions. Accountable for driving medium to long-term goals that impact global supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Analytics for Global Supply Planning:
- Develop and implement operational initiatives that support strategic supply chain objectives.
- Develop and maintain data models and dashboards to support supply planning across global markets.
- Drive optimization of purchase decisions and purchase order management processes.
- Support rough-cut capacity planning for manufacturing, covering finished goods and raw materials.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a remote team of 4-5 analysts based in Kuala Lumpur.
- Provide leadership in resolving complex issues requiring conceptual thinking and long-term solutions.
- Foster collaboration and ensure alignment with global supply planning objectives.
- Lead team performance and resource planning.
Data Strategy & Architecture:
- Design and implement scalable data architecture to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Ensure data integrity and governance across multiple systems and sources.
Business Partnership:
- Partner with GSP, Product Supply and cross functional teams to optimize vendor performance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years progressive experience in supply chain, planning, or analytics, with at least 3 years in managerial roles. Proven experience managing remote teams. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), knowledge of KNIME, Power Automate, SQL, Python/R, and data modeling. Familiarity with data architecture and cloud platforms.
- Core Competencies: Strong business sense and ability to influence decisions through data. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in purchase optimization and capacity planning.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP or similar).
