What You'll Do
- Functional Leadership & Execution: Provide strategic direction and oversight for both the People Operations and HRIS functions, ensuring they operate in sync to support broader business goals and a high-performance culture. This is a role that requires you to provide direction while working closely with the team, rolling up your sleeves to participate in the actual work to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Operational Excellence & Governance: Lead and guide both teams to deliver a seamless employee lifecycle—from onboarding to offboarding. Maintain oversight of data integrity, regional compliance, and high service delivery standards.
- Systems Thinking & Optimization: Act as an internal consultant for the People & Culture. Design the roadmap for process simplification and system optimization to Build for Scale, ensuring our infrastructure keeps pace with global growth.
- AI Integration & Adoption: Stay aligned with company-wide AI directions. Identify and evaluate practical opportunities within People & Culture to adopt AI tools and automation that enhance efficiency and the employee experience.
- Stakeholder & Project Management: Act as a key partner to various teams in People & Culture, IT, and Finance. Lead cross-functional global projects, ensuring clear communication, buy-in from leadership, and successful change management.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop the existing team, providing the necessary guidance and vision for them to execute technical system configurations and day-to-day operational tasks effectively.
What You'll Need
- Professional Experience: 10+ years of experience across in-house HR Operations, HRIS Management, or HR Management Consulting. A blend of in-house and consultancy experience is highly preferred.
- People Management: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in managing a team. Proven track record of managing a distributed team, with the ability to coach and drive performance remotely.
- Adaptive Leadership: A hands-on leader who thrives in an environment where they are expected to balance high-level strategic planning with active, tactical execution alongside their team.
- Systems Thinking: Proven ability to provide direction on system architecture and global process design without requiring hands-on technical configuration skills.
- Tech & AI Savvy: An agile learner who is comfortable with digital transformation. You can identify where technology (and specifically AI) can solve business problems in alignment with company-wide initiatives.
- Influencing Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management skills; able to navigate complex, matrixed organizational structures and influence at the leadership level.
- Strategic Problem Solving: A Critical Thinking approach with a track record of driving operational improvements and designing scalable solutions that reflect a Less is More philosophy.
- HRIS Knowledge: Functional familiarity with Workday is a significant advantage but not a mandatory requirement for this role.
- Communication: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus to support regional stakeholders.
