Responsible for driving transformation and providing comprehensive support across all aspects of factory manufacturing operations. This role ensures optimal efficiency, quality, and compliance while leading strategic initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence:
Enhance in-house production capabilities by establishing efficient and optimized workflows within the Manufacturing and Part Making Department, contributing to increased factory profit margins. - Strategic Collaboration:
Strengthen partnerships with Japan HQ business units to co-develop strategies that support globally optimized production targets. - Supplier Development:
Identify, build, and nurture relationships with suppliers across South Asia to improve supply chain efficiency, and reduce material costs. - Procurement Optimization:
Support the acquisition of cost-effective materials by streamlining and optimizing purchasing channels. - Team Development:
Mentor and coach manufacturing team members to foster skill development, encourage knowledge sharing, and support career growth and professional advancement.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in precision machining and manufacturing, particularly in Factory Automation systems, with hands-on experience in Panasonic AI and SMT machines.
- Proficient in Japanese, with a minimum JLPT N1 certification, enabling effective communication with Japan HQ and accurate translation of technical documents between Japanese and English.
- Highly organized, dependable, and collaborative, with a strong work ethic and a proactive team-oriented mindset.
- Self-driven and capable of working independently in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Well-versed in the operational practices of Japanese firms and experienced in managing relationships with Japanese suppliers.
- Holds a diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
