About the Opportunity
A leading organization in the logistics and distribution sector currently seeking a high-caliber Operations Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Oversight: Direct the internal organizational structure to ensure all company policies, goals, and deadlines are met with precision.
- Distribution Management: Oversee daily warehouse distribution activities, ensuring both internal and external customer requirements are exceeded.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Act as the primary lead for external service providers, including picking, transporting, unstuffing, and labeling contractors.
- Efficiency & Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and implement systems to boost effectiveness, reduce costs, and optimize the P&L.
- Inventory & Compliance: Manage stock levels based on strict company guidelines while enforcing world-class workplace health and safety (WHS) standards.
- Leadership: Provide coaching and guidance to the team, managing workloads to ensure consistent goal achievement.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Warehouse Management, or Operations Management.
- Experience: 35 years of relevant experience in a high-volume warehouse or distribution environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in inventory management, transportation, warehouse automation, and P&L management.
- Soft Skills: A Command & Control presence coupled with exceptional coaching and conflict management skills.
