  • Management Reporting and Financial Oversight - Provide strategic oversight and review of financial reports, variance analyses and dashboards prepared by Analysts, ensuring outputs are insightful and risk-based for management decision-making.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting and Planning - Lead the review and challenge of SOCI budgets, forecasts and business cases, ensuring assumptions are robust, risks are surfaced, and plans are aligned with university priorities and long-term financial sustainability.
  • Business Partnership and Strategic Advisory - Act as the key Finance business partner for assigned SOCIs, advising senior stakeholders on financial performance, budget controls, policy changes, cost pressures and funding matters, including the financial analysis needed to support business cases and follow-up actions.
  • Analyst Guidance and Governance - Guide and review the work of supporting Analysts, strengthen reporting discipline, and identify recurring risks, control gaps or process issues requiring management attention.
  • Process Improvement and Automation - Lead continuous review of finance processes, policies and reporting practices, leveraging AI-enabled automation where appropriate to improve consistency, efficiency and effectiveness across SOCIs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accountancy, preferably with CA qualificationswithat least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Successful track record in Business partnering and financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
  • Experienced in driving process improvements and change management.
  • Familiar with SAP usage and data extraction.
  • Familiar with BI tools (e.g. Power BI).
  • Preferably familiar with financial simulations and scenario analysis to support campus development projects, including buy/sell, leasing and student housing options.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate and engage confidently with senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Comfortable in a matrix reporting environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
